What gives me hope during these cold, gray, dreary days is the thought that this summer I could take the same shot, but the table will have hamburgers, hot dogs, potato chips, pickles, lemonade...

I didn't notice the bird flying into the picture in the upper left corner until after I had cropped it and was playing around with the color editing. (I'm glad I didn't crop it out.) In the original photo it just looked like part of the brush in the background. I liked the black-and-white option. Everything was pretty gray anyway -- there wasn't a whole lot of change!

This is proof that I've been spending too much time on the computer. I was playing with the macro feature here. I had to use a tripod so the letters wouldn't be fuzzy. It could still be clearer, but this was my clearest one.
