I didn't notice the bird flying into the picture in the upper left corner until after I had cropped it and was playing around with the color editing. (I'm glad I didn't crop it out.) In the original photo it just looked like part of the brush in the background. I liked the black-and-white option. Everything was pretty gray anyway -- there wasn't a whole lot of change!
The contrast between the dark bird feeder and the white snow make b&w a good choice. Those birds sure do look like they're enjoying the buffet.
